Berks Community Health Center is delighted to announce the promotion of four employees to new roles.
Omayra Tavarez is moving into the newly created role of Patient Access Manager. In this role, Omayra will lead the Patient Service Representative (PSR) team, working closely with PSR Supervisors at each of BCHC’s three locations. She will also monitor processes related to patient access, scheduling, registration, and other assigned processes across the care continuum to ensure a high-value service is provided to our patients and stakeholders. Omayra was hired in 2017 as a PSR before being promoted to the role of PSR Supervisor at BCHC’s Rockland location.

Rosaleiny Guzman, hired in 2022 as a PSR, is being promoted to fill the role of PSR Supervisor that had been held by Omayra Tavarez. In her new role, she will ensure that front office operations function smoothly and a high degree of patient satisfaction is achieved. BCHC’s PSR team welcomes and registers patients, schedules appointments, collects payment, and provides other administrative support.

Denise LaRosa is moving into the role of Clinical Administrative Coordinator – Supervisor at BCHC’s 838 Penn St. location. In this role, Denise will work under the Clinical Nurse Manager, leading the clinical administrative coordinators in providing quality patient follow-up care, including referral coordination, transition of care coordination, and more. Denise brings 11 years of experience as a medical assistant at BCHC to this new role.

Finally, the clinical team at BCHC’s Rockland location will be enhanced with Jesus Tavarez Rodriguez, LPN, taking on the role of Nurse Care Coordinator. Jesus joined BCHC in 2020 as a medical assistant and will continue to work with BCHC’s exceptional team of nurses and medical assistants at the Rockland location.
