Berks County Golf Association announces 2025 tourney schedule

Spring is almost here and the Berks County Golf Association is gearing up for the 2025 season.

On Monday, the BCGA announced it tournament schedule for 2025.

“We are proud to offer a variety of tournaments and golf courses for Berks County golfers,” said Tom Walker, BCGA president. “Our tournaments give golfers an opportunity to compete on the area’s finest golf courses. The BCGA is fortunate that Berks’ clubs offer their venues for our events. We appreciate the club members’ generosity and support for BCGA tournaments.”

This year’s Amateur Championship will feature a Stableford flight. Golfers may choose to enter this flight, which will be a two-day, 36-hole points event played at a shorter distance than the championship flight.

“We added the Stableford flight to make the Berks Amateur attractive to golfers who want to compete in a flight in which they are comfortable with the length of the course, which will be about 5,600 yards at Heidelbergh,” said Walker.

Points will be earned as follows: Bogey – 1 point; Par – 2 points; Birdie – 3 points; Eagle – 4 points

The Senior Amateur and Senior Partners will offer a championship flight and a super-senior flight for golfers age 65 and older at the time of the event. The Junior/Senior will have a championship flight and a flight for father/son and grandparent/grandchild teams.

To enter a BCGA tournament, golfers must join the BCGA for an annual membership of $20. BCGA membership is open to all golfers. Memberships are available through the BCGA web site,www.bcgagolf.com. Tournament entries are also handled through the web site.
