Berks cross country: Twin Valley boys score three wins in quad meet

Twin Valley scored three wins in a quadrangular cross country meet at Schuylkill Valley on Tuesday.

The Raiders had the third (Andrew Servis), fourth (Timothy Shannon), fifth (Evan Rementer) and sixth (Luke Damico) place finishers in the race in beating host Schuylkill Valley (15-50), Gov. Mifflin (26-33) and Hamburg (15-50).

Gov. Mifflin’s Seth Toal won the 5,000-meter race in 16:26 with his teammate Samuel Ulrich second in 16:29.

In the girls meet, Gov. Mifflin scored three wins, as the Mustangs went 1-2-3-4 in the individual race with Melissa Sweigart winning in 20:46 with Alli Darrenkamp second in 20:47.

Exeter boys, girls get three wins

The Exeter boys and girls cross country teams raced to three wins on Tuesday in a quad meet at Muhlenberg High School.

In the boys meet, Chase Choudhry was the individual winner, running 16:46.8 for the 5,000-meter course, as Exeter defeated host Muhlenberg (15-48), Reading High (19-41) and Wyomissing (18-41).

In the girls meet, Exeter’s Olivia Dever won the race in 21:47.2 as the Eagles defeated Muhlenberg (15-50), Reading High (17-46) and Wyomissing (19-44).
