Berks diving championships: Gov. Mifflin’s Alex Wodehouse shatters records in winning boys title

Gov. Mifflin’s Alex Wodehouse and Schuylkill Valley’s Charlotte Schwendemen won individual titles on Saturday in the BCIAA Diving Championships at Wilson High School.

Wodehouse, a senior, captured the boys title with 639.55 points for 11 dives, breaking the BCIAA and Berks county records, the Wilson pool record and the Gov. Mifflin school record.

Wilson sophomore Rowan Kofke was second with 411.70 points and Reading High junior CJ Zielinski was third with 370.60 points.

Schwendemen, a freshman, had an 11 dive total of 427.65.

Schuylkill Valley junior Carly Crills was second with 405.90 and Wilson sophomore Ellie Kulp was third with 390.65.

The District 3 Diving Championships are Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21-22 at Dover High School. The Class 2A competition is Friday with the 3A on Saturday.
