Berks DUI enforcement effort continues

The North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program plans to conduct impaired driving enforcement through the end of September, the group announced.

Police will be conducting roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints on Berks County roadways and will be vigililant in apprehending impaired drivers, according to the team.

The North Central Regional DUI Enforcement program equips, funds and coordinates the municipal police DUI enforcement in 11 Pennsylvania counties.

Sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols are funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
