Berks County fire crews remain on the scene of a two-alarm overnight house fire in Bern Township, emergency officials said.
The blaze was discovered about 3 a.m. Friday at 1281 Fairview Drive, between McCoy and White Oak lanes. Firefighters on the scene reported shortly after arrival that part of the two-story home had collapsed.
It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone was home at the time of the fire.
Tanker trucks from numerous fire companies were dispatched to haul water to the area.
