Berks girls track and field: Hardy, Henne, Noecker have big days at Schuylkill Valley Invite

Wyomissing senior Alexis Hardy won the 100 and 200 meter dashes on Saturday in the girls portion of the Schuylkill Valley Track and Invitational.

Hardy was one of several Berks girls who had stellar days in the meet at Leesport.

Hardy won the 100 in 11.97, easily beating the field, with Boyertown senior Harper Glennon second in 12.63.

Hardy cruised to victory in the 200, running 24.28 with Conrad Weiser freshman Layla Windley second in 25.70.

In the discus, Wilson junior Maddie Henne, who is ranked sixth in the state in all classes in the event, won with a throw of 129-10 with Daniel Boone junior Grace Glass, who is ranked ninth in the state, second in 122-3. Henne’s best this season is 130-2 and Glass’ best is 127-10.

In the shot put, Wilson went one-two-three with freshman Alivia Noecker winning in 37-3¾. Sophomore Christina Rohm was second in 36-4½ and senior Kemi Ojikutu third in 34-10.

Noecker is ranked 15th in the state with a best of 38-7.

In the long jump, Schuylkill Valley sophomore Lilah Gilmore won with a leap of 17-1½ with Kutztown junior Clara Engel second at 16-8¾.

Engel won the triple jump, going 35-10½.

Schuylkill Valley junior Amelia Falsone won the 400-meter dash in 61.46, and Oley Valley sophomore Marli Laity won the 800  in 2:27.48.

In the 1,600-meter run, Oley Valley freshman Julianna Gourley won in 5:15.25. She was also second in the 800 (2:28.57).

Schuylkill Valley sophomore Mabel Walborn won the 3,200 in Mabel Walborn in 12:47.04.

Wilson freshman Jade Lee won 100 hurdles in 15.18, and Wyomissing sophomore Lily Paolini ran 47.58 to win the 300 hurdles.

Exeter sophomore Cara Miller cleared 11-1 to win the pole vault.

Boyertown sophomore Amelia Maylath won the javelin (114-1).

Oley Valley won the 4 x 100 relay in 52.20, with Wyomissing winning the 4 x 400 (4:13.79) and Tulpehocken taking the 4 x 800 (10:51.17).
