Berks high school cross country: Flores, Choudhry win races at Exeter

Twin Valley’s Kenzianna Flores won the girls race and Exeter’s Chase Choudhry won the boys race in a quad meet on Tuesday in high school cross country at Exeter.

Flores, a junior, ran the 3.1-mile course in 21:43 and Choudhry, also a junior, finished in 17:13.

In the girls race, Twin Valley’s Riley Servis was second (21:49 ), Exeter’s Addison McKittrick (22:08) and Lena Bluestone (22:35) were third and fourth, respectively, and Twin Valley’s Addison Matthews was fifth (22:46).

In the boys race, Twin Valley’s Frankie DiSilvestro (17:34) and Jack Taylor (17:46) were second and third, respectively, Conrad Weiser’s Aiden Igielski  was fourth (17:48) and Twin Valley’s Cooper Schmidt was fifth (17:50).

Team scores in the girls meet were: Twin Valley 26, Exeter 29; Twin Valley 15, Conrad Weiser 50; Exeter 15, Berks Catholic 50; Exeter 15, Conrad Weiser 50; Twin Valley 15, Berks Catholic 50. Note: Conrad Weiser and Berks Catholic did not have full teams.

Team scores in the boys meet were: Twin Valley 20, Exeter 38; Conrad Weiser 23, Exeter 32; Exeter 16, Berks Catholic 47; Twin Valley 19, Conrad Weiser 36; Twin Valley 15, Berks Catholic 50; Conrad Weiser 14, Berks Catholic 48.

Lockhart, Bitting win races at Hamburg

Wilson Jayden Lockhart won the boys race and Morgan Bitting won the girls race in a quad meet at Hamburg on Tuesday.

Lockhart ran 17:30 for the 3.1-mile course and Bitting ran 21:02.

In the boys race, Wilson Calen McArdle (18:05) and Tim Doyle (18:31) were second and third, respectively, with Hamburg’s Abe Rogers fourth (18:34) and Wilson’s Cody Hummel fifth (18:43).

In the girls race, Tulpehocken’s Abigai Gehris was second (21:37), Wilson’s Abby Rest (21:41) and Cora Hardick (22:08) were third and fourth, respectively, with Tulpehocken’s Shelby McClure fifth (22:14).

The boys team scores were: Muhlenberg 28, Hamburg 29; Wilson 17, Hamburg 45; Tulpehocken 27, Hamburg 30; Wilson 16, Muhlenberg 47; Tulpehocken 26, Muhlenberg 31; Wilson 18, Tulphocken 40.

The girls team scores were: Muhlenberg 27, Hamburg 28; Wilson 15, Hamburg 50; Hamburg 15, Tulpehocken 50; Wilson 15, Muhlenberg 50; Muhlenberg 15, Tulpehocken 50; Wilson 15, Tulpehocken 50. Note: Tulpehocken did not have five runners.
