Boys cross country
Twin Valley seniors Anthony Engle and Ben Meister finished 1-2 at the William Tennent Invitational, helping the Raiders win the team title. Engle finished in 16:04.90 and Meister in 16:09.80.
Girls cross country
Exeter junior Gabrielle Keith finished fifth at the William Tennent Invitational in 19:11.80, helping the Eagles finish fifth out of 23 teams.
Field hockey
Wilson senior Erika Culp had two goals in a 5-0 win over Reading High, four goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over Gov. Mifflin and two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Warwick.
Football
Schuylkill Valley junior Dominic Giuffre rushed 24 times for 204 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a 35-6 win over Columbia.
Golf
Wilson junior Kayla Maletto shot a 2-under 70 Saturday to win the District 3 Class 3A girls golf championship by four strokes with a two-round total of 1-under 143 at Briarwood East Golf Club in York.
Boys soccer
Wilson sophomore Carson Peck scored three goals in the Bulldogs’ 4-2 win over Reading High.
Girls soccer
Kutztown junior Lauren Akers had one goal and one assist in the Cougars’ 4-0 win over Brandywine Heights before recording two goals and two assists in a 4-2 win over Exeter. She also had two goals in a 2-2 tie against Schuylkill Valley.
Girls tennis
Conrad Weiser junior Emma Perkins won her third straight BCIAA Flight 1 singles title. Perkins defeated Hamburg sophomore Mia Gassert 6-1, 6-3 to become the sixth consecutive Scout to earn the county championship. Perkins also teamed with Victoria Waltz to defeat Reading High’s Ashley Retana and Hailey Guerrero 6-2, 6-3 to win the BCIAA Flight 1 doubles championship.
Girls volleyball
Exeter senior Elizabeth Swoyer had 39 assists and six digs to help lead the Eagles to a 3-2 win over Twin Valley. Swoyer also had 31 assists in Exeter’s 3-0 win over Muhlenberg.
Boys water polo
Gov. Mifflin senior Colby Orndorf scored 14 goals and had five assists as the Mustangs went 3-0 at the Gov. Mifflin Tournament with wins over Perkiomen Valley, Upper Dublin and Souderton. Orndorf also scored two goals and had five assists in Mifflin’s 17-15 loss against Muhlenberg.
Girls water polo
Muhlenberg senior Samara Eschleman scored 13 goals and had eight assists as the Muhls went 3-0 at the Gov. Mifflin Tournament with wins over Souderton, Perkiomen Valley and Upper Dublin. Eschleman also scored six goals and had one assist in Muhlenberg’s 13-7 win over the Mustangs.
