Jade Fitzgerald drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Cougars held on for a 4-3 win over Wilson in high school softball on Wednesday.
Fitzgerald was 2-for-4 and Sadie Berger was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and scored the go-ahead run.
Kutztown pitcher Brianna Bauscher went the distance, allowing 10 hits, and striking out three and issuing two walks.
For Wilson, Tatum Werley (2-for-2) hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and Kaya Werley (2-for-4) doubled.
Tulpehocken 13, Camp Hill 3
Molly Goldberg, Juliet Snyder and Aubrey Good each knocked in three runs in the Trojans’ 13-3 non-league win over Camp Hill in six innings.
Goldberg and Leanne Eckenrode each had four hits for Tulpehocken, and Zoee White drove in two runs.
Reading High 19, Harrisburg 2
Yolanda Velez knocked in four runs as Reading High rolled to a 19-2 non-league win over Harrisburg High in three innings.
Sonia Rodriguez had two RBI for the Red Knights.
Blue Mountain 25, Gov. Mifflin 3
Courtney Cavadini knocked in five runs as Blue Mountain beat the Mustangs 25-3 in three innings on Wednesday.
For Gov. Mifflin, Ciandra Diaz had two hits and drove in a run.
Wyomissing 7, Pottsgrove 6
Lily Caldwell drove in two runs as Wyomissing edge Pottsgrove 7-6 in a non-league game on Wednesday.
