Berks high school sports honor roll: September 4, 2023

Field hockey

Wyomissing senior Ava Schroeder scored three goals and had two assists in the Spartans’ 7-0 win against Lebanon. Schroeder also had three goals in Wyomissing’s 8-0 win against Daniel Boone.

Football

Fleetwood junior running back Dakota Thomas ran for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in the Tigers’ 30-21 win over Conrad Weiser.

Golf

Twin Valley senior Shayne O’Doherty shot a 2-under 33 through nine holes in the Raiders’ 149-189 win over Kutztown. O’Doherty also shot a 2-over 49 through 12 holes to help Twin Valley remain undefeated with a 210-224 win over Conrad Weiser.

Boys soccer

Tulpehocken junior Vinny Tartaglia registered seven goals and two assists across four Trojans’ victories, including a hat trick in an 8-1 win over Annville-Cleona.

Girls soccer

Schuylkill Valley junior Addie Becht had four goals and five assists across three Panthers’ victories, including two goals and one assist in a 4-1 win over Lancaster Mennonite.

Girls tennis

Reading High senior Hailey Guerrero went 2-1 in No.1 singles with wins against Wilson and Daniel Boone. Guerrero also won in No.1 doubles with Hallie Guerrero in the Red Knights’ 7-0 win over Daniel Boone.

Girls volleyball

Wilson senior Kassidy Means had seven digs and 13 kills, including the 1,000th over her career, in the Bulldogs’ 3-0 win against Red Land.

Boys water polo

Exeter junior Evan Carl scored seven goals and had two assists in the Eagles’ 17-10 loss against Wilson at the Jump Start Tournament.

Girls water polo

Gov. Mifflin senior Emma Friedlander scored seven goals and had one assist in the Mustangs’ 14-4 win over Souderton at the Jump Start Tournament.
