Berks-Schuylkill fuel oil dealers donate to Salvation Army

The Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association, or BSOHA, has donated a total of $6,100 to the Berks and Schuylkill County Salvation Army, with each corps receiving half of the total donation.

This is the second largest annual donation BSOHA has presented to the Salvation Army since 2006. Its annual contribution has directly helped the heating needs of local residents to a total of $81,100.

“We are very pleased to make this donation to the Salvation Army,” said BSOHA President Kevin Steele in the group’s announcement of the gift. “With rising energy and inflationary costs, the household budget does not go as far as it did a few years ago. I could not think of a better way to help people in these tough economic times. To reach in excess of $81,000 in donations from our local association is truly remarkable.”

Donations were received from the following companies: Advanced Fuel Solutions, R.W. Beckett Corporation, Buckeye Energy Services, Elite Fuel Service, H.B. Steele & Son Inc., Hafer Petroleum, Jack Rich Inc., Lucknow-Highspire Terminals, LLC, Marathon Petroleum, Pennsylvania Petroleum Association, Santilli Oil Co. Inc., Sprague Energy, Tevis Energy, Werley Energy and Woosnam Consulting.
