Berks sports roundup: Twin Valley boys win in overtime in lacrosse

AJ Crisi scored the game-winning goal unassisted two minutes into overtime as Twin Valley defeated West Chester Rustin 11-10 on Saturday.

For the Raiders (14-3), Colin Gallagher scored 3 goals, including the 100th of his career, and Cooper Glass also had 3 goals and an assist.

Drew Engle, Patrick Shanahan and Maverik Foster each had a goal and an assist, Keenan Munn had 2 assists, and Carter Borkowski had an assist.

Twin Valley goalie Dylan Corros made 10 saves, including the 600th of his career.

Baseball

Hamburg 6, Tulpehocken 2

Ty Shuey went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs as Hamburg defeated Tulpehocken 6-2 on Saturday in high school baseball.

Scottie Dunleavey also had 2 hits and an RBI for the Hawks (13-7, 8-4).

Starting pitcher Dylan Gough (5.2 innings, 5 strikeouts), Gavin Kauffman and Dunleavey combined on a six-hitter.

Tulpehocken is 11-8, 5-7.

Oley Valley 4, Brandywine Heights 2

Danny Fries had 3 RBIs as Oley Valley defeated Brandywine Heights 4-2 on Saturday.

Winning pitcher Gryffin Cappellano went the distance, striking out 6 and allowing the two earned runs in seven innings.

Parker Detwiler and Wesley Hoffman each had 2 hits for the Lynx (12-6, 7-4).

The Bullets are 4-13, 2-8.

Twin Valley 6, Conrad Weiser 0

Kooper Zdimal drove in 2 runs and Logan Crunkleton tripled as Twin Valley defeated Conrad Weiser 6-0 on Saturday.

Winning pitcher Ben Vaughan pitched 7 innings, striking out 7 and allowing just 3 hits.

The Raiders are 13-5, 8-3. The Scouts are 1-19, 0-11.

Blue Mountain 2, Kutztown 1

Winning pitcher Matt Grasso allowed just one earned run as Blue Mountain defeated Kutztown 2-1 on Saturday in a non-league game.

For the Cougars (11-7), Ashton Dunn and Domanic Nolt each had 2 hits.

Softball

Twin Valley 9, Lancaster Catholic 2

Winning pitcher Erin Cromwell droves in 2 runs and struck out 10 and allowed just 4 hits as Twin Valley defeated 9-2 in a non-league high school softball game on Saturday.

Maggie Stoltzfus and Hailie Barton each drove in 2 runs for the Raiders (14-2).

Kutztown 8, Archbishop Carroll 6

Addison Blank went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs as Kutztown defeated Archbishop Carroll 8-6 in a non-league game on Saturday.

Also for the Cougars (16-3), Jayden Gehris was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 RBIs,  Brianna Bauscher was 2 for 2 with a double and Felicia Oldt was 2 for 3 with a run scored.
