Berks volleyball: Brandywine Heights scores straight set win

Brandywine Heights defeated Antietam 25-11, 25-14, 25-6 in high school boys volleyball on Thursday.

For the Bullets, Auston Ambruster had 7 kills, 2 blocks, 17 assists and 6 digs, Bergen Smeltz had 5 kills, and Eagan Coffin had 3 aces, 5 kills and 4 digs.

Also for the Bullets, Gavin Geiger had 8 kills, Joey Dorio had 3 aces and 3 kills, Kido Hogan had 5 kills and Owen Tomasi had 9 digs.

Wilson 3, Fleetwood 1

Seth McKee had 14 kills and 10 digs as Wilson defeated Fleetwood 3-1 in volleyball on Thursday.

The set scores were 25-12, 22-25, 25-12, 25-18.

Also for the Bulldogs, Randon Long had 11 kills and 2 aces, Ethan Wooldridge had 6 kills and 4 blocks, and Anthony Ho had 31 assists and 7 aces.

For Fleetwood, Jarren Valick had 3 aces, 14 assists and 6 digs,  Nevin Kile had 6 kills, 2 blocks and 3 digs, and Emilio Serio had 8 digs, 2 b locks and 2 kills.

Exeter 3, Reading 1

Exeter defeated Reading High 3-1 on Thursday with the set scores being 25-16, 25-12, 16-25, 25-20.

For the Eagles, Tyler Campbell had 24 assists, 2 kills and 2 digs, Nate Hoffman had 9 kills, and Jackson Gabriel had 5 kills and 2 aces.

Also for Exeter, Ashton Wilson had 5 kills, 5 aces, 6 digs and 3 blocks, and Paxson Forry had 7 kills, 4 aces, 2 digs and 2 blocks.

For Reading, Michael Bentancourt 3 kills, 16 assists and 5 digs, Kadre Williams had 3 kills, 8 assists and 3 digs, Albert Belliard had 7 kills and 4 digs, and Jayvian Rodriguez had 4 kills, 5 aces and 4 digs.

Berks Catholic 3, Kutztown 0

Berks Catholic defeated Kutztown 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 on Thursday.

For Kutztown, Liam Zotter had 6 kills and 3 blocks, and Jeremy Bridges had 2 kills and 3 blocks.

Gov. Mifflin 3, Daniel Boone 1

Carter Weyant had 10 kills as Gov. Mifflin defeated Daniel Boone 25-17, 25-20, 25-27, 27-25.

Also for the Mustangs, Abram Kohler had 5 kills and Tucker Ainge had 12 digs.

For the Blazers, Blake Heck had 14 kills and 4 aces, Cooper Robinson 10 kills and 8 digs, Sam Walker had 7 digs and 24 assists.
