Brad Hoffman leads Wilson to big win over Martin Luther King

Brad Hoffman returned to the Wilson lineup Friday night to throw for three touchdowns and run for another as the Bulldogs rebounded from two straight losses with a 50-8 non-league high school football win over Martin Luther King.

Hoffman ran for a 3-yard score, passed 37 yards to Cameron Jones for a TD and hit Edison Case for a 13-yard TD all in the first quarter as Wilson (2-2) rolled to a 23-0 lead.

Hoffman also threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Flite to help the Bulldogs bounce back from losses to Gov. Mifflin and Exeter. Hoffman, who missed the Exeter game with an injury, completed 9-of-16 passes for 172 yards and gained 19 yards on the ground on three carries.

Wilson also got touchdowns on a 3-yard run by Jones, a 3-yard run by Jaison Beckford and a 65-yard fumble return by Ethan Capitano.

Martin Luther King (0-2) averted the shutout by scoring a TD with 1:51 left.
