The Help a Girl Out campaign will kick off its fourth annual feminine hygiene product drive, Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 5:30 p.m., at Be Mine Boutique, 637 Penn Ave., West Reading.
The campaign, organized by Suzanne Cody of Muhlenberg-Greene Architects, collects feminine hygiene products such as tampons, pads and period underwear, wipes; incontinence products and baby diapers for distribution by Helping Harvest, Opportunity House, Children’s Home of Reading, Safe Berks, Co-County Wellness and other organizations.
The kickoff event includes a meet-and-greet with Mrs. East Coast, Emily Fitzpatrick Kenniston, founder of Let’s Talk about Tokophobia. Tokophobia is an intense fear of childbirth that can impact a woman’s pregnancy and health.
