Butterflies and Brews Festival to Raise Funds for Individuals with Severe Disabilities

From Maddie’s Miracles

Maddie’s Miracles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with severe disabilities and their families, is thrilled to announce its second annual Butterflies and Brews Festival. This exciting event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4, from noon to 6 p.m., at the Oley Fairgrounds, 26 Jefferson St., Oley, and will raise crucial funds to support local families caring for children with severe disabilities.

A Mission of Compassion and Support

Maddie’s Miracles was founded in honor of Madeline Nordhoy, who was born with the rare genetic disorder Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome. Over the past 28 years, Maddie’s family has faced the significant challenges of caring for a child with severe disabilities. From navigating the complexities of medical care to ensuring a safe and functional home environment, the Nordhoy family understands firsthand the demands placed on families like theirs.

“Caring for Maddie has taught us the value of support and community,” said Erik Nordhoy, Founder of Maddie’s Miracles. “We created Maddie’s Miracles to provide other families with the resources and assistance they need to give their children the best possible quality of life.”

Making a Tangible Difference

Maddie’s Miracles is committed to making a real impact. Through providing home modifications, donations of essential medical equipment, and support services, the organization empowers individuals with disabilities and their families to lead fuller, more independent lives. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term challenges, Maddie’s Miracles strives to be a beacon of hope and practical assistance for families in the local community.
