Kutztown University alumnus Jason Graver was presented with the KU President’s Medal volunteerism and commitment to preserving and celebrating the university’s history.

Graver received his bachelor’s degree from Kutztown in 1992 and his master’s degree in 2018. In 2015, he became an alumni volunteer, serving on the history subcommittee of the KU Sesquicentennial Planning Committee. Graver has specialized in the collection of college memorabilia and the history of the institution.

In 2015, the history display in the Old Main Concourse openedwith the help of Graver’s knowledge and collection. Since then Graver has worked with the gallery director and KU’s Office of University Relations on the upkeep of the display.

Graver has been a featured speaker at the KU Foundation annual Holiday Tea and at other university historical events. Graver staffs the historical display himself at homecomings.

He assists University Relations staff and others in need of research for KU historical milestones. Graver does all this work as a volunteer while continuing to build his collection with rare artifacts for future display.
