The following local students received bachelor of science degrees from the University of Maryland Global Campus in the fall: Garrett Polityka, Morgantown, computer networks and cybersecurity with honors; Brenden Snyder, Birdsboro, business administration with highest honors.
Georgia Tech
The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to Alexander Caputo, Gilbertsville, and Aidan Katz, Mohnton, at December graduation ceremonies.
Super Bowl
Emma Bigg of Fleetwood took part in media activities leading up to the Super Bowl in New Orleans along with two fellow seniors at Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y. The students were stationed at “Radio Row” at Caesars Superdome with broadcasters from across the country, and they conducted interviews that aired on Hofstra radio station WRHU. Bigg is a mass media studies major.
