Dickinson College

Tufts University

The following area students received bachelor of arts degrees from Tufts University, Medford, Mass.: Ashley Dasika, Wyomissing, international relations; Rachel Howe, Morgantown, archaeology.

Research fellowship

Geisinger Medical School student Joaquim Diego Santos, Douglassville, has received an Alpha Omega Alpha Carolyn L. Kuckein Research Fellowship.

AOA, the national medical honor society, gives out about 50 of these awards annually to foster the development of the next generation of medical researchers. Santos’ winning proposal relates to the study of mitochondrial myopathy.

FBLA honors

The following area Susquehanna University students won awards at the national Future Business Leaders of America conference in Dallas, Texas.

Senior Brianna Le, Douglassville, a senior international business and management major, won first place for a community service project.

Ezabella Piccione, Boyertown, a sophomore communications and luxury brand marketing & management major, won first place for her score on a competitive test covering the foundations of marketing.

Susquehanna is located in Selinsgrove, Snyder County.
