Cars for Kacie 10th annual Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show will be held at the Classic Auto Mall at 6180 Morgantown Road, Morgantown on Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The show is expected to draw a record-breaking number of classic vehicles exceeding 500 cars.
Registration will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. and judging from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Rain date is Oct. 28.
The Cars For Kacie Show is open to all years, makes and model cars, trucks and motorcycles including customs, stock, street rods, low riders, antiques, late model, tuners and rat rods.
Judges will present 100 42-inch trophies and 14 seven-feet specialty trophies along with two memorial trophies and a Best of Show. Awards include Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best club participation, Kacie Erin Rumford Memorial and Jeff Divito Memorial.
All Cars for Kacie classic car show money goes to Kasie’s Cause, a 501c3 non-profit organization which provides parental and grief support to local community support groups while also awarding recovery scholarships. Cars for Kacie was started 10 years ago by Andy Rumford, who lost his daughter Kacie Erin Rumford from a drug overdose on March 12, 2013.
This year’s car show is not only the largest recovery car show in the nation but it is an excellent source for recovery information as many recovery groups will be on hand. Kaise’s Cause will be providing Narcan training.
There will be a variety of food and dessert vendors including Mexi-Boys, BBQ Dave, Abbi’s Sweet Treats and Kona Ice.
More than 50 vendors will be offering handmade products and services including 9-foot tall Transformer Bumble Bee and Spider Man and free face painting. A bounce house will be provided for kids.
There will be a silent auction featuring hundreds of items from toys to painted pumpkins to gift baskets.
The Caernarvon Township Police Department will be conducting K-9 dog demonstrations utilizing three department dogs as well as selling their merchandise. In addition, the Twin Valley Fire Department will be on hand along with an ambulance for hook and ladder and EMT ambulance demonstrations.
