From City of Reading
The Reading Police Department invites all residents, community organizations, and businesses to take part in the 2025 National Night Out, happening Tuesday, Aug. 5 (rain/heat date of Tuesday, Aug. 12), from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on the 400 and 500 blocks of Penn Street in downtown Reading.
National Night Out is a beloved nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and the community while promoting neighborhood camaraderie. With your help, this year’s event promises to be one of the biggest and best yet!
Community organizations are encouraged to participate by setting up a table and engaging with the public. The expected attendance is around 1,500 people, so it’s a great opportunity to share your mission, offer giveaways, and connect with neighbors. Suggested items include books, educational flyers, toys, drinks, snacks, and candy.
Register here: City of Reading Police NNO Event Registration Form. The deadline to register is Friday, July 18.
