City of Reading Urges Mosquito Prevention Following West Nile Virus Detection

The Berks County Conservation District has notified the City of Reading’s Public Works Department that a mosquito pool in the city has tested positive for West Nile Virus. While the current risk of transmission is low, continued virus activity could require an adult mosquito control (truck spray) in the affected area.
