Conrad Weiser’s Emma Perkins and Victoria Waltz defeated Reading High’s Ashley Retana and Hailey Guerrero 6-2, 6-3 to win the BCIAA Flight 1 doubles championship Thursday at Hampden Park.
The doubles title was the second in three years for Perkins, a junior who won her third straight Flight 1 singles title on Tuesday. She teamed with Alex Pancu to win the doubles title two years ago. Last year, Perkins and Michelle Timothy were the runners-up to Muhlenberg sisters Jen and Judith Manta.
In the Flight 2 doubles final Thursday, Hamburg’s Mia Kalbach and Emily Schappell defeated Wyomissing’s Hadley Lynch and Lexi Aita 6-4, 2-6, 12-10.
In the semifinals, Kalbach and Schappell defeated Twin Valley’s Becca Goldman and Laura Goldman 4-1, 4-2, and Wyomissing’s Hadley Lynch and Lexi Aita defeated Berks Catholic’s Claire Pakradooni and Cara Cavorsi 4-2, 4-1.
