Crime Alert Berks: Tips sought in pair of Walmart thefts

Crime Alert Berks County, a citizen crime-fighting group, is offering cash rewards of up to $10,000 to anyone supplying tips that lead to an arrest in this case or any other case or crime.

Offense: Retail theft

Police synopsis:

Caernarvon Township police are investigating a group of five people captured by security camera images who tried to leave the store with a large amount of high-value merchandise. Walmart recovered scooters valued at  $750, but the suspects took cellphones.

Police believe the same group may also be responsible for a similar incident at the Walmart in Colebrookdale Township, a crime being investigated by Eastern Berks Regional police. The subjects are believed to be operating a silver SUV or minivan.
