District 3 basketball playoffs: Results from Thursday’s quarterfinal games

Jahkai Sloane-Marks scored 25 points to lead fifth-seeded Susquehanna Township to a 65-60 win over Wyomissing in the quarterfinals of the District 3 Class 4A basketball playoffs on Thursday night.

Susquehanna Township (15-7) advances to play top-seeded Berks Catholic, a 51-32 winner over Bishop McDevitt, in the semifinals Monday at 7 p.m. at Berks Catholic.

Wyomissing will also play Monday in the consolation bracket.

For the Spartans (15-8), Dom Arguelles scored 18 points, Birkley Ziegler had 14, Dylan Latourelle had 13 and Danny Fleischood 10.

Big Spring 70, Schuylkill Valley 44

Aiden Sallie scored 21 points to lead Big Spring to a 70-44 victory over Schuylkill Valley in a Class 4A quarterfinal on Thursday night.

The Panthers (15-8) will play Monday night in the consolation bracket.

Big Spring plays the winner of Eastern York-Boiling Springs in the semifinals on Monday.

For the Panthers, Cooper Hohendahl scored 12 points and Lucas Spotts had 11.

Girls

Dallastown 40, Wilson 29

Praise Matthews scored 19 points to lead second-seeded Dallastown to a 40-29 win over Wilson in the District 3 Class 6A girls quarterfinals on Thursday night.

Dallastown (25-2) advances to Monday’s semifinal round and will play the winner of the Manheim Township-Lebanon game.

Wilson drops into the consolation bracket and will play Monday night.

Kailani Hardy scored 12 points for the Bulldogs (16-8).
