Laura Crocona scored 12 points to lead a balanced Wilson scoring attack as the Bulldogs defeated Manheim Township 47-24 in a District 3 Class 6A consolation semifinal girls basketball game on Monday night at Manheim Township.
The seventh-seeded Bulldogs, who qualified for the PIAA tournament, will play for fifth place Thursday against the winner of Central York-Mechanicsburg at the site of the higher seed.
Wilson (17-8) led 15-6 at halftime as Crocona had 10 points.
The Bulldogs broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Manheim Township 16-8 for a 31-14 lead.
Janai Tisdale, Kailani Hardy and Jade Lee each scored four points in the quarter.
For the game, Tisdale and Lee each had eight points, and Hardy and Ryan Leaman each had 7.
Boys
Boiling Springs 62, Schuylkill Valley 45
Brandon Ascione scored 25 points to lead Boiling Springs to a 62-45 victory over Schuylkill Valley in District 3 Class 4A boys consolation semifinals on Monday night.
Boiling Springs will play Bishop McDevitt for fifth place on Thursday.
For the Panthers (15-9), Tanner Staus had 13 points.
Bishop McDevitt 69, Wyomissing 57
Damir Arp and Jadus Byrd each scored 17 points to lead Bishop McDevitt to a 69-57 win over Wyomissing in a District 3 Class 5A semifinal consolation game on Monday.
Bishop McDevitt will play Boiling Springs for fifth place on Thursday.
For the Spartans (15-9), Dan Fleischood scored 17 points, Birkley Ziegler had 13, Dylan Latourelle 12 and Dom Arguelles had 11.
