District 3 boys lacrosse: Wilson, Twin Valley win third-place games

Carter Brensinger scored the 200th goal of his career as Wilson defeated Penn Manor 17-7 in the third-place game of the District 3 Class 3A boys lacrosse tournament on Tuesday.

Brensinger had 3 goals and 2 assists.

Wilson opens play in the PIAA playoffs Tuesday against the District 1 runner-up.

Against Penn Manor, Cole Kaufmann had 4 goals, including the 100th of his career, and 2 assists and Beckett Redner had 3 goals and 2 assists.

Also for the Bulldogs, Trey Marcinko, Nolan Moyer, Luke Azzanesi (1 assist) each had 2 goals, and Sam Slabik had a goal.

Jackson Becker and Paddy Kersikoski each had an assist, and Alex Crouse won 15 of 21 face-offs, and Trevor Hertzog twon 2 of 4 face-offs.

Goalies Thatcher Swatchick (6) and Ethan Harding (4) combined for 10 saves.

Class 2A

Twin Valley 15, Lower Dauphin 6

Colin Gallagher scored 7 goals as Twin Valley defeated Lower Dauphin 15-6 in the third-place match in the District 3 Class 2A boys lacrosse tournament on Tuesday.

The Raiders will next play the District 12 champion in the first round of the PIAA state playoffs on Tuesday.

Also for the Raiders in Tuesday’s win, Drew Engle had 4 goals and an assist, Patrick Shanahan had 2 goals, Keenan Munn had 3 assists, Cooper Glass had a goal and an assist.

Goalie Dylan Corros had 6 saves.
