Thirteenth-seeded Fleetwood knocked off fourth-seeded Lampeter-Strasburg 3-2 in the opening round of the District 3 Class 3A girls soccer tournament on Monday.
The Tigers (12-6) jumped to a 3-0 halftime lead as Gigi Gonzalez scored two goals and Onika Kane had one.
Lily Wendt assisted on Gonzalez’ first goal, which made it 1-0.
Kline then scored unassisted on a free kick and Gonzalez made it 3-0 on a penalty kick.
Piper Lazar and Brianna Jackson, both unassisted, scored for Lampeter-Strasburg (13-5-1) in the second half.
Fleetwood goalie Abby Rowley made 13 saves, and Lampeter-Strasburg goalie Georgia Spahn made nine.
Fleetwood plays 12th-seeded Palmyra in the quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the OAL Sports Complex in Palmyra.
Palmyra beat fifth-seeded York Suburban 2-0 on Monday.
