Berks Catholic won both doubles matches to score a 3-2 victory over Lancaster Country Day and win the District 3 Class 2A girls team tennis championship on Thursday.
The Saints’ Francesca Ditsky and Maddie Gordos teamed up to win at first doubles, defeating Nastasia Phillip and Lianne Harkin 7-5, 7-5.
At second doubles, the Saints’ Molly McFadden and Serena Burkey defeated Ryleigh Zimmerman and Maggid Schnader 6-4, 6-4.
Berks Catholic’s other point came from Isabella Logozzo at third singles. She defeated Taylor Smith 6-3, 6-0.
The Saints qualified for the PIAA championships and will open play Tuesday against the District 4 runner-up.
