For Twin Valley on Monday, Molly Krall and Hailie Barton each went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Alex Podehl went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.
Winning pitcher Erin Cromwell went 7 innings, striking out 9.
Wilson 3, Mechanicsburg 2
Tatum Werley went 3 for 3, including a double, with an RBI and 2 runs scored as sixth-seeded Wilson defeated 11th-seeded Mechanicsburg 3-2 in a Class 6A first round game on Monday.
The Bulldogs (20-3) play at third-seeded South Western at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in a quarterfinal game.
Winning pitcher Shannon Bratton went 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and one earned run.
Also for the Bulldogs, Ava Legath went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Olivia Keller went 2 for 3, including a triple, with a run scored.
