A Temple University student who was injured in a fall from a light pole Sunday while celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles’ win in the NFC Championship Game has died from his injuries, according to multiple reports.
Sources identified the student as Tyler Sabapathy, 18, The Temple News reported Tuesday night.
“The loss of a promising 18-year-old man like Tyler is both tragic and traumatic,” Temple President John Fry said in a statement to The Temple News. “There are no words that can make sense of it, and the entire Temple community mourns his passing. Our hearts go out to Tyler’s family, friends, classmates and all who knew and loved him.”
