Eco-Fest and climate march planned for Saturday in Pottstown

POTTSTOWN — A climate march and ECO-Fest will be held in the borough on Saturday, April 23.

The March will begin at 12 p.m. on High Street by The Hill School and continue down High Street to Smith Family Plaza. There, Eco-Fest will be held until 5 p.m. where more than a dozen Earth-friendly vendors will display their goods and services.

Dozens of vendors were at Pottstown’s first-ever EcoFest in 2018 offering up information. Vendors included non-profits, animal rescues, vegan food selections and many other things.

From 1 to 4 p.m., visitors can get their picture taken with Raines, “the very gentle kissing pig,” according to information posted at — www.pottstownEcoFest.com — the event website.

Kids crafts will be offered by MOSAIC and the Pottstown Regional Public Library and a kids dance party will occur at 1 and 4 p.m.

Visitors can learn from the vendors about protecting animals and how to “Live a Greener Life.”

Plant-based foods will be available and all containers and utensils will be compostable. All of compost will be taken to Arborganic Acres after the event.
