Fire crews battling 2-alarm fire in southeast Reading

Fire crews are battling a two-alarm residential fire in southeast Reading.

The fire was discovered about 8:20 a.m. in a middle-of-the-row house in the 1300 block of Spruce Street, which is between South 13th Street and Perkiomen Avenue.
Firefighters requested a second alarm upon arrival after seeing heavy fire on the second-floor rear of the building.
All occupants were reported to have gotten out of the building before firefighters arrived. However, personnel on the scene called for a medic unit for an injured person.
