Fleetwood loses to Littlestown in District 3 Class 4A baseball semifinal

Littlestown’s Bryce Peart scattered 10 singles and shut out Fleetwood 4-0 in a District 3 Class 4A baseball semifinal Tuesday at Littlestown.

Peart also went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the fifth-seeded Thunderbolts (14-6), who advanced to Thursday’s championship game against East Pennsboro, an 8-6 semifinal winner over Susquehanna Township.

“They had two clutch hits with runners on base and we didn’t,” Tigers coach Rolland Green said. “We just couldn’t tie anything together. We played well.”

Peart struck out four and walked none for Littlestown.

Aiden Soumas, Zach Dillbeck, Dalton Young and Mark Piskorski each went 2-for-3 for ninth-seeded Fleetwood (9-13), which will play Thursday at third-seeded Susquehanna Township with a PIAA Tournament berth at stake.

The Tigers loaded the bases in the second inning with one out and didn’t score and had runners on second and third with one out in the third and didn’t score.

Ryan Moser pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief for Fleetwood, striking out four and allowing two walks and four hits.
