Gov. Mifflin’s girls team won two matches on Friday in water polo at the North Allegheny Tournament.
The Mustangs defeated Eric McDowell 18-2 and North Allegheny 19-4.
Against McDowell, Isabella Harman, Kaylee Cipolla, Camryn Caron, Mackenzie Caron and Maddie French each scored three goals.
Against North Allegheny, Mackenzie Caron scored six goals and Nadia Medianick had five. Harman added four goals.
Boys
Gov. Mifflin’s boys water polo split two matches on Friday at the North Allegheny Tournament.
The Mustangs beat Eric McDowell 21-13, but lost to North Allegheny 17-6.
Against McDowell, Jacob Troy scored nine goals and Evan Byrne had four goals. Grant DeLoretta and Owen Ziolowski each had three goals.
Against North Allegheny, Troy had four goals.
North Allegheny 12, Reading High 5
North Allegheny defeated Reading High 12-5 on Friday in the North Allegheny Tournament.
For the Red Knights, Gabriel Iswalt had two goals and a steal, Charles “Trey” Stricker had a goal, two assists and a steal.
Dalton Rogers and Brock Shrawder scored Reading’s other goals, and Matthew Kerchner had two assists.
Reading goalie Matthew Kerchner made nine saves.
