Halloween spirit shines in Orwigsburg

Costumed spectators crowded along the streets of Orwigsburg, waving light-up toys and scrambling for candy on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Pirates, minions, zombies were highlights of the Orwigsburg Lions Club’s annual Halloween Parade. Tulpehocken and Blue Mountain high school marching bands performed songs including “Kung Fu Fighter” and “Ghostbusters.”

Prior to the parade, food vendors served up food and fun in the M&T parking lot. The community enjoyed Uncle Paul’s Stuffed Pretzels and Blazing Swine BBQ, along with Jerry’s funnel cakes and deep-fried Oreos.
