High school girls wrestling: Four from Berks win regional titles

Four wrestlers from Berks won titles Saturday at the Southcentral Regional in high school girls wrestling.

Schuylkill Valley’s  Alexis Foscone defeated Faith Gladfelter of Delone Catholic 14-11 to win the 118-pound title.

At 124, the Panthers’ Addison Becht pinned Jolee Johnson of Octorara in 5:13 in the championship finals.

Tulpehocken’s Katalyna Borreli pinned Lillian Raudabaugh of Big Spring in 1:58 to win the 148-pound title.

Reading High’s Esmeralda Tellez scored a 5-0 decision over Ashley Hoffman of Central Dauphin to win at 190.

All four qualified for the PIAA championships in Hershey from March 6-8.

Molly Lubenow of Exeter also qualified for the state tournament by placing fourth at 130 pounds.
