High school lacrosse: Downingtown West boys edge Wilson

The Downingtown West Whippets edged the Wilson Bulldogs 13-12 in boys lacrosse on Saturday.

For Wilson, Nolan Moyer (1 assist) and Cole Kaufmann each 3 goals, and Trey Marcinko had 2.

Beckett Redner, Carter Brensinger, Ian Miller and Alex Crouse each added a goal for the Bulldogs.

Wilson goalie Thatcher Swatchick made 6 saves.

Mars 8, Twin Valley 7

Mars defeated Twin Valley 8-7 in a non-league match on Friday.

Drew Engle scored 4 goals and had an assist for the Raiders, and Colin Gallagher had 2 goals.

Also for Twin Valley, Cooper Glass had a goal and Lucas Myers an assist. Goalie Dylan Corros made 9 saves.

Emmaus 11, Gov. Mifflin 10

Emmaus defeated Gov. Mifflin 11-10 in boys lacrosse on Saturday.

For the Mustangs, Derek Dinatale had 6 goals Jamison Rabold had 2 goals and an assist.

Larry Miller and Patrick Steuer each added a goal, and goalie Allan Franco had 10 saves.

Girls

Kacey Maggs scored 5 goals as Wyomissing defeated Susquehannock 18-0 in a non-league match on Saturday.

The Spartans, the top-ranked team in the state in Class 2A, also got four goals from Molly Macrina.
