Kutztown won its first Berks softball title in 23 years on Saturday and the Cougars were rewarded with two players on the BCIAA all-conference team, including player of the year Brianna Bauscher, it was announced Sunday.
Joining Bauscher, a senior, on the all-conference was senior teammate Sadie Berger.
The Cougars (20-3) won the BCIAA championship on Saturday, beating Twin Valley 5-2.
Twin Valley had two players selected to the team in senior Erin Cromwell and junior Ella Herbst.
Rounding out the all-conference team are Wilson’s Tatum Werley, a senior, and Leah Berkis, a junior; Hamburg seniors Erica Gerner and Jenna Shuman; Muhlenberg junior Kaylee Jablonski; Wyomissing senior Kyla Lytle; and Conrad Weiser senior Alex Trevena.
Wyomissing’s Jim Campbell was the coach of the year.
The BCIAA softball coaches voted on the selections.
