Information sought in 2-vehicle crash that killed woman in North Coventry

NORTH COVENTRY — Police are still investigating a two-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of South Hanover Street Wednesday that killed a female passenger.

Contacted Friday evening, police said they still have not released the identity of the victim.

The crash occurred at 1 p.m. on South Hanover Street between Cedarville Road and Lenape Crossing. When they arrived, police found a black Chevrolet Aveo which had struck a green Jeep Wrangler head-on and come to rest against a tree.

Both vehicle drivers were transported to Reading Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. A female passenger from the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“This incident is currently under investigation and no further information is available,” according to information posted by police on Crimewatch.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact North Coventry Township Police Department at 610-323-8360.

The North Coventry Township Police Department was assisted by NORCO Fire Company and Goodwill Ambulance.
