Jay Grube and Matt Bortz teamed to win the Great and Greatest bowling tournament Sunday at Berks Lanes.
Grube and Bortz beat top qualifiers Brad Bixler and Brad Kemp 267-259 in the final.
Grube and Bortz qualified fourth with 1,441 pins and needed to win four matches to earn the $700 top prize. Bixler and Kemp had 1,481 in qualifying.
Grube and Bortz beat Thomas Moran and Jason Cornog in a ninth/10th rolloff in their first match after the teams tied at 259-259. Moran and Cornog rolled 1,429 to qualify fifth.
In the quarterfinals, Grube and Bortz defeated Sam Buckwalter and John Boyer 237-217. In the semifinals, they beat Dan Welsh and Josh Sattazahn 235-231.
Buckwalter and Boyer had qualified third at 1456; Welsh and Sattazahn qualified second at 1,476.
