Kutztown got goals from five different players and rolled to a 5-0 win over New Covenant Christian in a District 3 Class 1A first-round game Monday at Kutztown.
The seventh-seeded Cougars (13-6) scored once in the first half on a goal by Robbie Ott.
Quin Erb, Connor Loeb, Dalton Furst and Kole Schuler scored in the second half as Kutztown earned its first district playoff victory since the 2016 semifinals. That also was the Cougars’ last appearance.
Schuler also had an assist, as did Ashton Dunn and Colin Diehl.
Kutztown will play at No. 2 West Shore Christian (15-1), which had a first-round bye, in a quarterfinal Wednesday at 4 p.m.
