Kutztown, the Berks County American Legion baseball champion, will play North Parkland in the opening round of the Region 2 Legion playoffs after the field was set Tuesday night.
Kutztown, which beat Reading 1-0 for the Berks title, will play Lehigh Valley League winner North Parkland at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lower Macungie, the tourney’s host.
There will be three more games Saturday in the eight-team tournament.
Reading will play Quakertown at 1:30 p.m., followed by Northampton County champion Wanderers (of Bethlehem) against Perkiomen at 4:30 p.m. and the last game of the day pits the hosts, Lower Macungie, against Northampton at 7 p.m.
The tournament runs from July 20-24 and all games are seven innings.
