Jaiden Carpenter and Correll Akings each scored two of Wilson’s first four touchdowns as the Bulldogs rolled to a 49-0 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 victory in high school football on Friday night.
It was the first game of LL play and the Bulldogs wasted no time sending a message to the rest of the teams in the section.
Wilson led 49-0 at halftime and the second half was played under the Mercy Rule.
Carpenter put the Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0) on the board first on a 32-yard scoring pass from quarterback Mason Young.
Akings’ 37-yard touchdown run made it 14-0 and Carpenter’s 18-yard TD pass from Young made it 21-0 after one quarter.
Akings tacked on another rushing touchdown (6 yards) for a 28-0 lead.
The Bulldogs scored three more times before halftime with Ethan Harding rushing for an 18-yard touchdown, E.J. Brownback returning an interception 30 yards for a score and Cole Peterson throwing an 18-yard TD strike to Michael Glover to make it 49-0.
In other games involving Section 1 teams, Cedar Crest defeated Penn Manor 40-15, Hempfield beat McCaskey 56-6 and Manheim Township defeated Plymouth Whitemarsh 37-31 in a non-league game.
