Late afternoon thunderstorms expected – again – throughout the region

The trend of late afternoon thunderstorms continues Thursday throughout the region according to the National Weather Service regional office in Mount Holly, N.J.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 86. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Weather should settle before 8 p.m.

Tonight, look out for patchy fog after 1 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
