While visiting Pittsburgh on Oct. 20 to campaign for John Fetterman, President Joe Biden made the bewildering comment, “and Gisele, you’re going to be a great, great lady in the Senate.” Huh?
Was this simply another Biden verbal faux pas or did he divulge a veiled strategy of getting Fetterman elected only to subsequently resign for health reasons after taking office? His wife, Gisele, could then be appointed by Pennsylvania’s governor as his replacement, whether by Tom Wolf or Josh Shapiro, according to the U.S. Constitution. Is this another “right-wing conspiracy theory”? Only time will tell.
We all know that Fetterman suffered and is recovering from a stroke, but it is also a known fact that he has a heart ailment that caused it. I actually felt sorry for the man, watching him struggle through his one and only debate with Dr. Mehmet Oz, which conveniently took place after mail-in voting had already begun. Medical issues aside, it is his ideology that is most concerning, and his wife appears to share his views.
First it was Dr. Rachel Levine who got promoted to the federal government by appointment, and now John Fetterman through election. Congratulations to Berks County Democrats and their state committee. They must be so proud of making our commonwealth the laughingstock of the nation.
