Letter: Those who supported Fetterman must apologize

Editor:

Prior to the 2022 election Sen. Judy Schwank wrote a letter to the editor in support of John Fetterman for Senate. She wrote that the socialist Fetterman was the best and only choice to be Pennsylvania’s next senator. His doctor wrote a letter stating that he was in good enough health to handle the stress of being a senator. We were told he would continue to recover.

As a stroke survivor (not as severe as Fetterman’s) I knew it takes much longer to recover. It took me almost a year to recover and return to my construction job. Three months down the road the truth finally comes out. Fetterman hasn’t recovered. In fact it appears he is still very sick. Now the citizens of Pennsylvania have a senator who cannot understand a simple sentence and gets lightheaded. He is being hospitalized for clinical depression.

Schwank and Fetterman’s doctor did not have the best interests of Pennsylvanians or Fetterman in mind when writing these letters. Schwank owes every citizen an apology for her endorsement — for putting party and an agenda before the taxpaying citizens. Every citizen of Pennsylvania, Republican or Democrat, should be outraged at Schwank and Fetterman’s doctor for working to get him elected despite clear problems with his health.

Fetterman should be relieved from duty, and the citizens of Pennsylvania should be granted a special election to elect a competent person.

Unfortunately when the senator can’t continue our governor will appoint one. One who will also put agenda before citizens.
