The more I watch pro football, the more I see officials seemingly taking over the game. It’s frustrating to watch. Sometimes there are nit-picky calls and no common sense. This is football, let the boys play. I’m not referring to cheap shots that could result in injury. I’m talking about letting these players tussle, get physical and let the best man win.
I think holding penalties are a joke. If someone is holding you, fight your way free and make the play. You could probably call a holding penalty every play, so what is the point. It’s football, not a ballet.
Some officials seem to be on a power trip to control the game. We need to let the players decide the outcome of the game.
