The Reading District Libraries, in partnership with Berks Nature, is proud to present Nature Stroll & Roll, an inclusive outdoor experience for patrons of all abilities. The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., at Berks Nature, 575 St. Bernardine St., Reading.
Nature Stroll & Roll is a welcoming, all-ages event designed with accessibility and mobility in mind. Whether participants are walking, rolling in a wheelchair, using a cane or walker, or simply prefer a slower-paced outing, this program offers a safe and enjoyable way to connect with nature.
“Nature is for everybody, but we know it isn’t always accessible,” said Marissa Guidara, District Consultant with Reading District Libraries. “Libraries are trusted spaces for so many people, and that trust allows us to help patrons confidently explore new places and experiences like Berks Nature. Our goal is to remove barriers to the outdoors and ensure that everyone in our community, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to enjoy nature in a way that feels welcoming and safe.”
In addition to a gentle, guided stroll on smooth paths, the event will feature nature-themed activities in shaded areas for those who prefer to relax, socialize, or simply enjoy the fresh air.
This program reflects the library district’s ongoing commitment to dignity, respect, and opportunity — values that guide how libraries serve and connect with their communities. Through creative partnerships and accessible programming, the Reading District Libraries help ensure that every person feels welcome and supported.
